Living In The Now

How on earth do we stay grounded
When our heads are in the clouds
Are we tethered by tradition
Or yoked by human vows

On these chosen destinations
Were our lifetimes wisely packed
Before we left the heavens
Was there space for what we lacked

How many waiting souls
Passed on  karma's wing
Might there have been a mixed up
In what we meant to bring

?Karmic luggage mixup?

Fortune as a blessing
Does not always shine
The paradox of flaws
Can make a life divine

If when our packs were opened
By life and all it's rides
Everything we packed
Had more tucked right beside

How on earth do we stay grounded
When our heads are in the clouds
This is how we're meant to be
Living in the now

Its not what you start with, its how you end up right??

Such brutal honesty in your writes Anita that always tell it like it is. If we could all envision the time when our blood lines were all immigrants then perhaps we could stop thinking of the new as foreigners.

I would Imagine that it's what we do with what we're given, and who it brings glory too, that matters the most.

It certainly is a moment by moment decsion making process (life) that reveals who we are as individuals, and also how we feel about our fellow man.

What a cogent write Alice. Chiselpecks approves, and so do I. Bloody well written. I'll be thinking about this one the rest of the bloody day. kudos!

Unity unwavering ...

I have just reviewed Karla's poem and I must repeat myself, for you ended this poem right. It is what we have done with our life that counts, how we end this life. Great poem, Anita.

Wow Anita

You come up with the goods..

You are the Seer of the Den..

It's what we do with the hand that counts in the final analysis..

RIGHT!!

And I find that photo most intriguing. I'd love to peek into some of those.

And you changed the photo, just as I wrote this! Now this picture is fascinating, too!
