During her dream, she woke in a cave Silent and deep, wombed not as grave Followed the dark and slumberous roads Of cavern like orchards, by seed oddly thrown
Labyrinths and shafts, visioned and hidden Underground, upside down, daylight forbidden Every breath echoed, mirrored her sounds Whispering waves from deep underground
There in that womb of miserly air Deeper she walked, knowing not where There in the hollow, blackness of void Waited the all, she'd rather avoid
Confronted by all, surrounded by dark Fragments of light speckled by mark Step after step, follow the glow Tunnels of thought, dreams by the row
Deeper she went, from cave into mind There in the darkness, wisdom to find Beneath the blackness, by slivers of light Walked the mute dreamer, out of her night

Definitely a dream-like quality here, enhanced by great word choices and a strong rhythm. Seems like a confrontation in the dark, where a realization about self is made. Excellent poem.
You make sense from mystery and dreams. This is the earmark of a deep woman of thought...aGoddess of Light.
Only you could make this kind of sense froma dark abyss.

This is spectacular to say the least Anita and one of your very best...it has an almost ghostly quality as if you had captured the spirit of the dead and walked along with her until she faded into oblivia...
Your poem reminded me of a book I once read and gave a review for. Your word usage is always so exquisite my friend. Your pen is surely guided by a steady mind. Peace, Love and Blessings to You Always, Paul.
That dream certainly had life in it, dear Anita, and you have captured it vividly here. Who can be afraid when you portray this unknown, deep, dark exploration of soul's night in such light and lyrical verses? Your way with words is breathtaking and always so polished. And the visual PERFECT for such a Romantic tale. Love this, Kate xx
This has ethereal beauty. It breathes of fantasy and surreal breathiness, and I like it a lot. The visuals are very strong, and the atmosphere is almost tangible. --Charlie

Thanks for this. I've just woken up from a weird dream, so I've logged on, and what do I get to read.. lol
It's interesting to see how poetry that describes dreams can gather very concrete elements and physical sensations (heaviness, lightness, different kinds of light, darkness, flying). I wrote a poem entitled "Bare" after a dream.
