Things That Part For Good Reasons
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL
 
The day is done, the sun well set
The mourning moon laments her death
Yet holds her love all through the night
Within his heart as silver light
 
When once the sea embraced the shore
She stayed her land, awaiting more
A high tide kiss, a low exile
Her inlets dry, by currents trial
 
The eyes of youth are blind to time
Yet lead to steps, we live to climb
With higher levels stories gain
As age leaves youth, perceptions trained
 
Teardrops come from deepest pains
To cleanse the sorrows as the rains
Eventually the smiles lift
A taste of laughter as our gift
 
The old year dwindles to it's end
The next awaits to rise and blend
Goodbye to all, we felt belonged
Hello to new.....Now....Move Along

I love this, Anita. It has kinda celtic knots and silver circles interwoven within it for me. Makes me think of perpetuity and constancy and that, although tonight marks a calendar event, really time is a continuum without beginning or end in a temporal sense. Our demarcations are arbitrary... so move right along!! :)) Onward and upward into the days ahead and, whether they be up or down, the motion is always forwards... Keep delighting us with your elliptical pens and curlicue thoughts. They are the wind under our poetic wings. Bless you, and have a magnificent New Year. Love, Kate xx
