Indecision Equals Decision

Too disconnected to take the time
My delays stacked in endless lines
Time marches on and ticks away
Yet all my non decisions.....stay

By nature I procastinate
For I have learned, the ignored.....wait
Now I am bound to them by chain
And on my death.....will they remain

Or will they join me, in the grave
Are they my yoke, am I their slave
I think the way to set me free
The way to unleash them to me

Lies in the  nature of decision
A skill I lack, I tight precision
For here dilemma sticks and stays
So I stay unchanged....in my ways

The trees are not what they seem in the valley of indecision. Nor is the terrain so insurmountable.

I'm also guilty. In recent years, I've been trying to press onward so I have less regrets. I think lots of other readers will connect with this realistic piece. Hugs,

I'm the same way - I procrastinate. I love this write; as I love all your writes (that I've read). Just be yourself; that's all you can be. That's not to say we proctrastinators can't grow and learn and move forward - even if sometimes it means catching up on some of the things we've been letting fall behind. And, for my part, I'm not AS bad as I used to be - LOL. -- Jeff

Should you stand rooted to your spot,
then see if you've got roots or not.
If so, it may be you're a tree--
and not the yoked gnome thought to be.

If not, ALAS! your course is set
and not a blessed one, I confess
But of your lot, don't be cast down
There're many more lugging chains around...

(I'm one of 'em :0) --Charlie

... so you've made up your mind then? No change. And you're right... absolutely no change in the superb quality of your thought processes and rhythmic, rhymic perfection. Good to see you've pottered back to post again a bit... that's very welcome! :)) xx

I love the photo. The gnome seems to be wondering which way to go, and so it is with us all at times. Best wishes!

I love this one and can see that you wavered a little on posting this one but glad your indecision was overpowered by your desire to share...love the gnome.

Sometimes indecision is a deadend road...unless you make that decision to do something.

What a wonderful write this is!
