Angels Beneath The Breeze
Those graced with wings are many
And varied as the score
Yet by a prismed difference
They're joined by right to soar
From tiniest of insects
To dragons old of myth
We mortals dream with envy
To rise in flight there with
Wings outstretched of sparrows
The locusts in the skies
Flying fish of oceans
From earth and sea they fly
Mortal aviation,
The craft of man to air
A miracle with limit
To trust a wing with prayer
Perhaps some fallen angels
Might still possess their gift
Where by sweet temptations
Would offer souls a lift
Banished from the heavens
For the sins of pride
Beware mortals, shun envy
Decline their offered rides
Our choices marked with wisdom
Our choices greased by ease
Are we the fallen angels
To never ride the breeze
