For my Daughter
Casper OUR New Puppy
Woof, whine, growl, sniff
The sounds of love, from my daughters gift
Chew, gnaw, chomp, bite
The laundry basket is his delight!!!!
Dirty socks and underware
He thinks its there, for him to share
Enterprising, adept, and able
He drags my panties, under the table!!!
Plastic toys, give him such joy
His puppy teeth....made to destroy
He'll find things, I never had
Why did I call that classified ad??!!!!
He pulls the phone, off of the hook
He poops on paper, including books!
He flips over his feeding bowls
Ties me in circles, when we stroll
But he's so cute...he makes me laugh
He barks at shadows...and vomits grass
He's chewed my chairs, and bites my hair
But my girl loves him.....so I don't care!
And so does my old dog
(hard to type with a puppy on your lap)
