Wish I knew.... just why it is...... To my Mom, I'm still a kid!! I left home, so very young But can't escape my mothers tongue!
Buckle your seat belt, see that red light!!! My response is silence, in lieu of a fight Straighten your posture, put on some makeup I'm a middle aged lady! Mom, time to wakeup!
A toll call to say, its cold out today Don't let your little one go out to play Check your dog for fleas and ticks Give out dated milk, the good old deep 6!
Don't talk to strangers, take vitamins Use moisturizer for your very dry skin! Eat American cheese.....try some raw clams.... All the foods I dislike, in my mouth she would cram! LOL
Ohhh Ma! I love you with all my heart!!! Your loving, and wise, and pretty street smart You've lived a lot, and seen it all And held my hand in shopping malls (As an adult)
You buy me clothes, I never wear Its just one way to show you care Your efforts ARE always appreciated Cuz if it wasn't for you, I'd not been created!
I try not to let you see me roll my eyes As I take deep breaths and look towards the sky You make me crazy with all your advise But I'd be half a person, without you in my life
You exposed me to so many things Let me take in birds with broken wings We sang and joked at the dinner time Then cried at old movies, way past their prime
You taught me tolerance, thats for sure And to love, with devotion, straight to the core Exposed me to culture, then read me comics And glowed with pride at my jump rope tricks
Let me play dress up, and wear your high heels "Never hurt others" was your motto for real! But LOVE above all, was the lesson I learned It comes in all forms, and its best when returned.
