Poem Artwork

Man cannot remake himself without suffering, for he is both the marble and the sculptor.  ~Dr. Alexis Carrel

~~CHILDLIKE~~

Tucked in cornor of my brain...
Behind behavior known as sane
Waters rushing... tamed by damn,
Awaits the ME.... I truly am

Its beyond my self control
A fraction now....yet sometimes whole
Conservative is safe and sound.....
But I've the urge to clown around

To those of you, who don't approve...
I'm NOT a pawn in life's chess moves

I'm gentle, harmless, sweet as honey
Won't hurt a soul for love of money
But I'm a woman who survived through harsh times
Been down so low, but somehow climbed

To other places, and escaped the past
Memories left............. dark shades of glass
Now I look forward with crystal vision
Towards finer times, and new revisions

And as I grow, and sometimes fall
Race and fly and perhaps crawl
I may revert, and use the shield
Of childlike innocence, so purely wield

So if you find me, not to your taste
On par with deadly toxic waste............
I think the problem, begins within......

A jealous heart
Original
Sin
