Also searching for the answers

That I may never see.

I ask God for help

As I gaze up into the night sky

There is no use wondering

And asking why.

It is time to stop running from myself

I cannot get very far

Because wherever you go

There you are.

A brand new beginning

A brand new start

I step outside

With a broken heart.

Starting from zero

I have nothing to loose

What happens now

Is for me to choose.

I have hit rock bottom

As I knew I would

I will pull myself together

As I know I should.

I leave my job

I leave my home

I will try to leave behind the pain

I have for so long known.

My dark and painful past

I carry with me inside

I know that from myself

I cannot hide.

Wherever you go

There you areI ask God why

You can try to run from yourself

But you won’t get very far.

It is time for me to stand up

So that he cannot hurt me any longer

For if I do not stand up

How will I ever become stronger?

Brand new opportunities

Are here for me now

I will start my new life

They will show me how.

Even thought I cannot escape

My dark and painful past

The pain that comes with it

Will not always last.

There is more to who I am

Than what happened to me

One day I will become the person

I have always wanted to be.

I have scars on my body

Scars in my mind

People look for easy answers

That are not there to find.

These things happened to me

Omega Factor by John Henning

Take some time to walk outside of your own mind and into another, walk slowly and carefully; the mind that you step on might be your own.
