Poem Artwork

Reading celestial patterns reflected in the terrestrial figures,

I remember the rulers of great antiquity who were unknown

Amongst the masses of their common subjects. They linked

One day of happiness to another, winning the people's hearts

Which flourished like the plum tree in the early springtime;

They filled up their kingly life with five colours and six tints

Illuminated by the seven stars in the core of boundless nights.

The starlight outlined the corners of all-embraced octagon

Printed on the earthly face between the four seas. As a result

Of such interaction between round Heaven and square Earth,

All worries and troubles vanished beyond the seven heavens,

Making mankind be overfilled with ten perfections of being.

Once the height of prosperity had been cleared successfully,

A new horizon opened before them for taking a new spiral.

If not the sage kings and cleverest leaders of ancient times,

Who else could bring their people to the light of awareness!

 Reviews of "Long Live Antiquity!"
Reviewed by Ronald Hull
Reviewed on June 6, 2015
A poem which brings to light a little-known fact. In antiquity, the only people who had access to the arts, sciences, and even any leisure time were the wealthy and the royalty. All others were relegated to dismal lives of drudgery and being an early death with no hope of ever having any kind of enlightenment.

In the 21st century, we have the opportunity to change that and have every one of our 7 billion souls muse with the gods of antiquity. It is in our grasp, but I'm not sure we are generous enough to do it.
