In all eight directions
And in yearly quarters,
Across the seven seas
And the Arctic Ocean
You can find the lands
Of the Tangerine State
With its Nine Regions.
Gridded by high mountain ranges,
Its ice-cold streams run to the east
Where the local storytellers
Compose legends and songs
Of the olden time kings
And other unsung sage-heroes
Who had the upper hand
Over the great flood of antiquity.
Retelling them all for you,
I praise the pure lands
Of that Tangerine State
Washed all around
By immortal seas of Infinity!
Always,
Deborah
