Haven't you ever seen the dew That drops in the morning? With the brilliant sun rays It vanishes away of itself. . . Man’s life is very similar To this -- Jambudvipa -- The land of blackberry fields Where we stay for a while Till alternation of wet and fine Brings the crop to the end of its season.

Strawberry Fields forever--the Beatles. Yes, we taste the sweet berry of life for a brief period in the early morning and then spend the rest of the day anticipating the coming darkness.

Dew "forms" or "collects" by means of condensation from water vapor in the air. A "drop" or raindrop is formed when condensation collects on a speck of dust in the air until it gets heavy enough to fall. So dew not only blankets the cold surface of the ground in the morning, it is dew that forms the raindrops that fall from the sky.
