Poem Artwork

I shut my mouth

To curb the horses

Which run away

From my burning inside. . .

There must be

So many roads

To bring them up,

But which is mine? . .

My burning insides only come up one way, by my throat, and only make it hoarse, not horses. ;-)

But then I think you are only writing metaphorically for all the urges and desires that come out in various ways and you're trying to find out which one to follow (ride to the end).

Yes, this poem makes me I think of California fires and the poor wildlife especially the horses.

Cryptic but meaningful. Indeed we have bolting horses inside that need out.

Couldn't help but think of the 63 race horses that succumbed to smoke inhalation and burns in the San Diego fires still roaring. Enjoyed your enigmatic portrayal here. Bravo!
