We are the sum total of our Education, Training, and Experience, but - we are also Creatures of Habit - and most of our habits are BAD! A conscious effort to improve requires WORK! And sometimes, we are our own Worst Enemies! Success in anything needs a goodly supply of Persistence, Determination, and Desire. I hope the following gives you some measure of ideas to work on Improvement. Tomorrow a New Day will Dawn - will you be Grateful for another Chance?

APOLOGY © - Tom Hyland - 9-19-08 Where do I Begin? Let me count the Ways - Mea Culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima Culpa! Through my most grievous Fault - in recent Days! Along with many Others, I allowed myself to Dwell - On Negative Things, Neither Happy - nor Swell! War, Politics, Economy, Prices of Food, Gas, and Oil - All make your blood Boil, Anger takes over other Vices. To refresh my memory last Night, Popped in my DVD - Re-watched “The SECRET” Need to Return to Happy and Free! Thoughts become Energy, To Visualize is to See! Like Energy Attracts Like Energy, I Need to Feel Positive, for both you and Me! To this End, I shall henceforth Try to Be - More Positive, Happy, and Grateful For all that I Hear, Smell, Taste, or See! An Attitude of Gratitude - Yes, That is for Me! Ask - Believe - Receive - Everything in the Universe is - Energy! I am Happy and Grateful Now That: I’m Granted Yet Another Day - To Enjoy Nature and All my Blessings - And the Forthcoming Bounties that May. Perchance to Dream - To Reach Untold Goals - To Grasp upon a Great Wave, And Surf Above Life’s Shoals! As the Lyrics of the Song Goes - ‘You don’t always get what you Want” But - you do get what you Think! Eliminate the Negative - CAN’T! Positive Begets Positive - That’s the Ticket! Avoid the Pitfall of Negativity - Escape from the Dark Thicket! Want to Soar with the Eagles? High Up in the Sky? Then - Don’t be a Night-Owl - I’ll tell you Why! To be Bright-Eyed and Bushy-Tailed, Requires a Good Night’s Sleep - And Hanging out ‘til Dawn Breaks, Keeps you Down with the Sheep! Be a Shepherd - Be a Leader - Guide All to Safety, Go the Extra Meter! Smile - Hug - Live - Laugh - Love - Always Give Thanks - To your Higher Power Above - Accrue Assets in All your Banks! Assets Minus Liabilities Equals Net Worth - Debt is Bad - Really a Curse! Acquire Wisdom - Take a Chance - Pay The Piper - then, you may Dance! Eat, Drink, and Be Merry - There’s Good Reason Why - Do Not Tarry - For Tomorrow May be your Great Goodbye! Carpe Diem - Seize the Day! Be All you Can Be - “The Secret” Tells you the Way! Think BIG! Feel Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise - Avoid all the Negatives - Most of them are Lies! © - TKH

This is a sweet poem, well written. It probably represents the general attitude the world has been operating under mostly since the end of WWII.

"Apology" is truly a powerful poem, containing metaphysical secrets -- as well as practical "how to" advice. It deserves several reads. Very well done, Tom -- Stay on your path!
