Yep - Death and Taxes - Inevitable!
From the First Nano-Second after we are Conceived -
The Clock is Ticking Away - to our inevitable Demise -
And - We Can Not Stop It!
And That’s the TROOF!
And yet, my Fellow Pilgrims, in this Journey - We call Life -
We do our Best to Avoid Facing this Fact! Why?
Is it because of the Absoluteness? The Inevitability?
Everyone says: “The Future is Unknown!”
OH - REALLY?
I recently watched the Film -

Good! Weird! Different! A Tad Goofy Maybe?
But it Causes one to Ponder our own Lifestyle.
GOT MILK?
“Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff!” - Good Advice?
Hell - I’ll go you one Better -
“Don’t Sweat the BIG Stuff!”
Ultimately - We’re All going to the Same Place -
DEADSVILLE!
Well - Almost! - Some think - HOT - others Think -
TROPICAL PARADISE!
Strumming Harps - Floating around on Clouds All Day -
OR - Shoveling Coal Down in Dante’s INFERNO!
Those with the Southbound Direction then have to Worry -
Depending on my Nastiness - Which Level or Circle?
Of Course - those Travelers going Northbound -
Think - “Don’t Worry - Be Happy!’
AFTER ALL - WASN’T I WONDERFUL?
So - in Between this ‘Cradle to Grave’ Dilemma -
A Whole Lot of ‘Stuff’ Happens -
School/College - Marriage/Divorce - Kids/Grands - Retirement -
Profit/Loss -Sickness/Health - Medicare/Medicaid -
OOPS! FINANCIAL RUIN?
Nah - We Don’t Need No Stinkin’ National Health Insurance!
We Obeyed All them thar Rules - Paid them Taxes - AMEN!
Busted our Buns Workin’ Hard - Saved a little “Nest Egg”
“All’s Well - that Ends Swell!”
BUT - DON’T GET SICK - DUMMY!
Creditors like Wolves at the Door -
Collection Calls - Collection Agencies - Credit Report BLOTS!
Bankruptcy - Mortgage Foreclosure - Car Re-Popped -
Deductibles - Co-Pays - Balances Owed - DOG FOOD!
Yeah - That’s the Ticket - Cut Back on EATING!
Now - Just What - Is Inevitable?
The Longer we Live - the Older we Get -
The Older we Get - the Ole Cells start a-Crumbling -
Pop Some Pills - Shoot Some Juice - Moan and Groan!
“ISN’T THAT - SPECIAL?”
So - What’s a Body to Do?
Accentuate the Positive - Eliminate the Negative!
I - for one - Added some New Affirmations -
To my Morning and Evening Ritual Litanies -
“Every Day, in Every Way -
I’m Getting Thinner, and Thinner, and Thinner!”
“Every Day, in Every Way -
I’m Getting Younger, and Younger, and Younger!”
“Every Day, in Every Way -
I’m Getting Lighter, and Lighter, and Lighter!”
“Every Day, in Every Way -
I’m getting Stronger, and Stronger, and Stronger!”
SEE HOW EASY IT IS?
This manner of ‘Planting Seeds’ in the Ole Grey Cells -
Will eventually Fool the Watch-a-ma-call-its in the Brain -
To Start Believing All this Crap -
And I’ll Start Going Backwards in Time!
