CAN DO!
WILL DO!
MUST DO!

THY ACTIONS ALONE DETERMINE THY WORTH!

AND ...

YOUR ACTIONS ARE BASED UPON YOUR ATTITUDE!

Temper Fugit

I Wanted to Write Something -
Simple, yet Profound -
Complex, yet Poignant -
And Still, Somehow Be a Basic Truth ...
Did I Succeed?

Today’s Existence Was -
Yesterday’s Future -
And Still Is -
Tomorrow’s Past!

TODAY

I Am Alive!
What Can I Do?
What Can I Achieve?
What Can I Believe?

Charles Dederich: “Today is the First Day of the Rest of your Life!” *

YESTERDAY

I Was Alive!
What Did I Do?
What Did I Achieve?
What Did I Believe?

The Beatles: “I Believe in Yesterday!”

TOMORROW

Shall I Be Alive?
What Shall I Do?
What Shall I Achieve?

From ‘Annie’: “Tomorrow is Only a Day Away!”

Today’s Existence = Yesterday’s Future = Tomorrow’s Past!

Steve Miller’s “Fly Like An Eagle” Lyrics ...

“Time Keeps On Slippin’ Slippin’ Slippin’ Into The Future...”

* From Bartleby.com -

Charles Dederich (1913–1997)

QUOTATION:

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

ATTRIBUTION:

Attributed to CHARLES DEDERICH by
The Washington Post, December 10, 1978, p. C5.

He was the founder of Synanon, a self-help community for drug abusers and alcoholics, based in California.

TEMPER FUGIT ...

What Will YOU Do?

Fly like an Eagle?

Make Lemonade?

OR - Cry in your Beer?

In the Final Analysis, it is YOUR choice!

As long as we have choices we are hopeful. It is when our choices dwindle to nothing that we cease to hope or thrive. I'm thankful for all the choices I have and am hopeful that I will choose the right ones. Thanks Tom. Hugs, J'nia

It's always been our choice, no matter what others may say. And Happy First Day of The Rest of Our Lives.

Today is the first day of your life. All the today's are yesterdays tomorrows. The whole point is in not wasting the time we are given to share and do good for others...

Be always safe,
Karen

I don't know, I'm kind of torn between fly like and eagle and make lemonade. I think I'll do both, at the same time. Cause my oh my, time flies. Gotta get a move on. ;)

Wow, I knew Chuck personally and his daughter Jade, it was sad when he died. I think it was 1999. I wonder what he did with all the money and planes and horses and his mansion at the top of the hill in the middle ranch in Marshall, Ca. I am sure the member's got a refund, I never did get my $1,000.00 back, hmmm do I have an inheretance sitting some where. It was where Dillion Beach is, I reminice everytime I drive that road. My horses name was Browny
