One warm fall day

During harvest time

Hundreds of pumpkins

Lay on the field

Waiting their time.

 Such a pretty orange

In the bright fall sun,

And then it begun

The rain came

That weekend  day

And it rained

And it rained

And they lay in the mud

Until the rains came

So long

They started to float.

Unlike Noah they had

No boat

It rained so hard

All through the night

And in the morning they

Were afloat.

Into the river

Many went

Although a couple

Were found snuggling on a

Tractors seat

And one was trapped in the

Wheel well, too.

Seven feet of water and into

The river they went

And who knows

Where they will

Land…

Maybe they will go

On a world wide

Tour

Or land on the mountain

With old Noah.
