The jury came back To a room that sat In utter silence as We waited to hear The words There was a loud gasp When it was not what We thought it would be Or thought it should be… How can they??? Why did they??? A day later and we Start to see That it was not Beyond a shadow Of a doubt…. Yet sitting in that shadow We will always see the Angelic face of a little Blond angel who Did not deserve this. That will not stop us From making our own Judgments and the Best way to honor her Is to not buy into the Books, movies, DVDs That will follow; Do not buy into The sensationalism That will not let The little angel Rest in peace. Do not make The slayer’s life La Bella vita… Keep your eyes Just beyond the shadow. Susan Bergeron July 6, 2011

Living in Europe and not being an American, I don't know the story. Having said that, I totally agree that the sensationalism that follows any case of this ilk (which I am guessing involves a small child and some kind of a monster)should not be pandered to. We should all, as human beings and regardless of race, keep our eyes just beyond the shadow.
