Different religious beliefs, of whatever doctrine, dictate behaviour around the world - but instead of bringing peace and love, they bring much discord, fighting and death.

The christian religion puts a lot of emphasis on the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and making people believe that by shedding his blood on the cross, Christ 'takes away the sins of the world'.

How untrue that is. Those who harm others will eventually find out that they cannot avoid their true justice just because they believe what their religion states. False security is no security.

The Resurrection

Is presented to mystify

And to believe that redemption

Will help humans when they die

Priests want all to obey

By their religions’ doctrines live

But that is the not the way

Not eternity theirs to give

The people who saw Jesus

Three days after he had died

Were able to see the spirit world

So, it was true , they had not lied

They were chosen to spread the word

That there is another sphere

God’s kingdom, heaven

A realm of love, but not of fear

Jesus did not die to save others

Nor their sins to take away

Simply - cruel men killed him

They have yet that debt to pay

Neither time nor religion will save them

Nor forgiveness – the deed was done

All must reap what they have sown

After death the chance is gone

A millennium on earth is

But a wink of an eye to spend

Our lives are but fragments

In an eternity without end

But for those who hurt a child

Maim and kill for greed and hate

Eternity will be a recompense

Reaping pain as their just fate

So, hurt - if you have the courage

Harm - if you can endure

For you will reap what you sow

Without mercy - that is sure

Rather be kind to others

And love instead of hate

Then heaven in all its beauty

Will have ‘Welcome’ at its gate
