The wonder of childhood, found in the heart,
is filled throughout the night and day
With the enchantment of a make-believe land,
where magic creates a world of play
And mermaids splash in reach of little hands
until the last little mermaid sleepyhead
Starts to yawn, needing a good night’s sleep,
so she puts the catfish out and goes to bed.
The wonder of childhood, found in the heart,
is the wonder of dawns’ recurrent miracle,
The delight of the smiling face in the moon
that is set in a silvery white spherical.
Laughter overflowing, warm sunlight in ain,
chambered seashells flowing with the tides,
Seeds of mystery growing and experiencing
all the simple joys that life provides.
