Dear Xuxa,
You are, most definitely, a "woman of the water" and your passion runs as deep as the sea. In this poem, all my senses sense the serenity that balances your body, mind and spirit in a cradle of beauty.
As I read this I imagine the scenario and feel the damp wetness of cold salt water holding up the beautiful long hair with it's buoyancy. I can understand the uniqueness of the write and it's stunning simplicity that bears further study and reflection. Very nicely done indeed Alexandra.
THIS IS TOTALLY AMAZING... I really am beginning to think that you and I have some psychic hook-up, Alexandra... I can't "whip it out the bag" to prove it, but last night my mind was working this same conceptual seam... except mine had to do with the wind of the soul being shaped by the tree by which it was being sheltered, before floating face-down and starfish-like, breathing deep the freedoms of many waters... Damn, I didn't write it down... Now I've lost it...
I MUST try to write like this. More elliptical and sparse. I know EXACTLY what the flesh on these bones of words is feeling. Love the ambiguity of that final phrase.
