““In utopia there is a path that leads to the beginning of all paths” – a thought read somewhere, which inspired this prose-poem that I hope you may enjoy.

OF UTOPIA (IMPROMPTU)

“In utopia there is a path that leads to the beginning of all paths”, the only path to where the mare drinks, today, the afternoon of non-words and submerges into the liquid silence of the stallion.

This rumour of distance is but the deliberate deafness of thirst, of this thirst of listening closely, today, to nothing but the leaves along the shores.

The only path to where, today, wisdom learns, from wilderness, how to become the discovery, at a slow trot, of the fast cadence of seeking hips.

Secretly, flows into my body all that really matters, today, that you are and I in you.

And the day submerges us and burns, along that path of water of all the attainable utopias.

My beloved Xuxa,

This is the very path that Humanity must find if we are to survive as a species. The beginning of all paths is where all merge into One. It is only in this wisdom that we can go forward. This poem really makes me think of the ocean. Thank You for this wondrous vision of heavenly poetic beauty.

Muitos Beijinhos,
Teu Joseph

Alexandra,

Such beautiful imagery in perfect lines: I have discovered Utopia in poetry! Well done, yet again, my friend, I could get lost here.

This is beautiful Alexandra.

But I would imagine; as are all things that seem bigger than life - and surpass what this world and society dictate - utopian ideals are far too conditional, especially the attainable ones. It is good to dream, and to press into our dreams, and to realize - to an extent - our dreams, but sadly there is the human element that is always trying to quash what out good intentions desire to accomplish.

It's not circumstance that keeps us from these glorious utopian moments; it's f.*^&%& people with the power and the money that think their take on all things inclusive to the artistic mindset is the final word.

You are a visionary and a true artist. I find hope in your work!

I like to think of utopia as a mind-set, and in fact I know foor a fact that this is true. When a person's mind is conditioned to see, breathe and speak words which project the sublime utopia, that is the truest form of existence I can imagine. Jesus. Word is He was the only one blessed with such a mind. I don't know. Ghandi. His utopia was on a personal scale. Maybe. Sister Teresa. I don't think so, she had her own defects, whether or not people want to believe it or not. Jesus. To those that believe the written Word, He is the one, then. Again, I don't know. I'd like to think so . . . Beautiful poetry, I can count on you, you usually come through with something beautiful . . . As you did today . . .
