Sorry, dear ones, for many reasons beyond the reasons that make my life wonderful, time, lately, has been of the dim, exhausting sort... but now, I've undressed its "creases" - :0)
Love & Smiles to all!

From time that creased

I arrived here late and at dark hours –

Or from hours darkly cloaked in dense
fatigues, of the colour of clouds that
not even the sky wants to wear anymore.
Fatigues drawn low over the brow, like hoods -
making me frown, and my thoughts, under their shadows;

The weight of shadows, creasing the lightness of clarities,
of lucidity, to the almost impossible –

Almost impossible to see, be touched, through
so many creases.

But there was still the “almost”; and the “almost”
became time to let the weight crease itself completely.

I emerged from it in naked, smooth hours -
as soft as skin that wakes up early, for the pleasure
of continuing to dream as if each pore were doing it
from the beginning;

Beginning now - all pink and tingling, to the vision
as to the touch…

Richard is absolutely right Alexandra...you set a marvelous example and set the bar extremely high for the rest of us. What a pleasure this is to read...so restful...and the last sentiment leaves me in a dreamy middle of the night state when I can wake and see and feel...
Such a lovely thought...
Love,
Taylor

Xuxa, minha paixão,

This poem speaks to me as a constant re-birth. One moment gives birth to the next in an eternal force of energy. Perhaps those "creases" can be unfolded along the way and shed new light on our future path. Our perception of time is how it will unfold before us.

Amo te muito,
Joseph

Absolutely adore this unique expression of both time and our absorption into it, Alexandra. Yes, yes, yes... I could never have expressed it in these terms, but it is so. Time and experience (and an awful lot of laughs!) have lined my face into waves and creases, yet this poem articulates my hope that, one of th these mornings, I will wake up with that fresh, pink, crinkle-free skin that matches my mood of youthful optimism that makes the world feel young and time to be in its prime again! Astounding sustained metaphor here. Your energies abound, renewing constantly. Thank you for this "upper" and virtual facelift! :)) Love and besos, Kate xx

What a muse you have dear heart! This is the best description (in my interpretation) of a rejuvenating sleep that I have ever read. I can truly understand the currents that will drag us into those seasons where we sadly become 'stretched thin' and 'creatively opague'.

Your work, dear Alexandra, always imparts something special to my day. Thankyou for your exemplary gift, and for you williness to share it.

In respect and friendship ...
Richard

As always your words and thoughts present themselves as an open invitation to peer inside your mind, soul and heart and the images we see are outstanding to say the least. This is definately one of your better pieces Alexandra...sweet.

Always that teasing "almost" The ever promise of "what" to come, of the ethereal "it" that the fingers will touch, the pushing dream that guides us to the edge of the pleasure abyss waiting below.
But...we get only "almost"
Brilliant.
Georg
