Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Thankfully pondering (a pantheistic allegory)

Be our crib of fern, be it of moss -
and threaded, by dusk, of dewy beads
or, by shadows, bouncy, of trees, be
actually dappled of sun;

Be it rocked by the breeze at dawn
and a stream murmuring near, or
canopied by birdsongs softly waning -
as moonlight waxes - to a hush…

Always by its nature, and our own, will
pleasure and pain blossom and clamber -
like a single, essential dog-rose, inescapably.

Yet, is it not in our nature that we die
because we are born, and do we not begin
from metamorphic ends -
is all magic not an attribute of seasons
and are the seasons not a synonym
of spells?

Yes, and I am thankful; for such primeval
duality that is life’s ultimate gift of wholeness -
and my sudden (or, perchance, inborn and now
remembered) awareness of this.

"it not in our nature that we die
because we are born, and do we not begin
from metamorphic ends"

profound words illustrate the depth of duplicity this poem explores, reinforcing that death and life are ultimately synonymous and phases in our growing being ...

The Poet who speaks with such insight is also called a "Sage". I am thankful to be sharing my life with one such as you.

The Creator is within all Creation and all Creation is within the Creator.

Like a Monet that one.
"...we die because we are born..." then again, we really die? is the jewel-box or the diamond that it holds the most valuable?
Your words make us stop and think...as it should be.

At some point during the last sixty-eight years of my life I have come to the conclusion that God us Us. Likewise, Satan is also Us. What is good is attributed to God. Who says what is good? Thinking people with morals which cannot be damaged. The inner workings of the human brain has only just begun to be explored. I have heard that we use only a small portion of our brains . . . Will someday can assume we will be able to use all of it? Then what of evil (Same old story. What is evil? Things done by people who ferret out their morals by piecemeal. God is Us. The Bible is Good. Is everything in the Bible True? No. It is not a mathematic thesis, it is hand written by people with a cause and naturally they bend and twist and cover things to their own end. Still, what is Good in the Bible is awesome. What is Bad, equally so. Sorry . . . Got carried away . . . You tend to do that to me . . .

Pantheism is certainly an interesting notion. The doctrine that regards the universe as a manifestation of God, for me, is the most palatable. The doctrine that tolerates the worshipping of all gods is ludicrous and grates against all that I have learned. Your poem, dearest Alexandra, is special and precise and gives clear indication as to the poets ability to 'see' beneath the surface, and also beyond the borders of the superficially mundane.

It is a delicious representation of an abstract idea.

Blessings and love to you and Joseph ...
