I Love my Redbud Tree...

Poem Artwork

Out my window is my Redbud Tree...and very special...shades
of pink, so very appropriately named, and even blooms on it's
trunk come spring.

When I want to relax and enjoy my bird population...I scatter
pieces of bread..and they come...beneath this magnificent tree.

Now Mr Robin will take his share; but, Mr Blue jay is much the bully.
The beautiful Dove will be right in the thick of things...when the
wrens and sparrows are very timid. And if I am very lucky, Mr and
Mrs Cardinal come...being not intimidated, my squirrels will always
make their appearance.

Now this is a peaceful scene until the blackbirds come, and carry
all the pieces off...but not the end.

Year after year, my Redbud takes it all in...giving it's sweet nectar
to the bees...but, I watch this from afar.

Perhaps today...Mr Redbird, The Cardinal will come with his wife.

In the Whirlwind by Tichaona Chinyelu

In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
