Poem Artwork

Void of color, the mirror to cope reflecting...but
beauty being an image of heaven...likened to
even the darkest life of a rose.

Digress inner feelings...life's meanings, naught
of intellect..only to reflect what it sees looking back.

~What you want to see?~

If we look into someone else's mirror, will we look
the same? One should not expect to reflect an image
only we see, when a mirror does not lie.

Distorted images of what is right, and what it's left,
looking back and forward...paths of reflections...
life's ever changing images, true to oneself.

~Are We...Who We Think?~

Vivian, No, we are not what we see...because
we cannot be objective. Good observation.

Good one, Vivian. I guess the best one can be is true to oneself.
Of course, when I look into the mirror in the morning when I'm shaving, I sometimes see the face of my late father. Is that me?
I like to think so. -gene.
