I see You...take My hand

Poem Artwork

Upon thinking back to that watercolor November day leading the way, taking baby steps before wings to fly...on our secret path to the sky...just you and me.

Watching when you play, impatient being small, but growing bigger every day...let me tie your shoe one more time...wash your angel face, brush your golden locks, cut your meat at dinner...My little sis, whom I adore.

Picking you up when you fall...wipe away tears. Soon these days will be gone, precious memories of being small...reaching for my hand...or just being a child at play in Your perfect world.

After you are grown...when I must let you go, I know I must hold back the tears with much pride, but feeling the spirit...of when I was your Big brother...you were my Little sis...in our perfect watercolor world, when we Owned that November sky.

Such bittersweet and soul reaching memories well-shared through your verses, Vivian. This is a reminder of how fleeting is childhood and its innocent beauty. Thank you for sharing this gift. Love and best wishes,

Regis

Such a charming collage of the written and the painted. I wish I'd had you as a little sister to treat so. I was the baby of the family.

Beautifully said. The concept of having to let go is paramount throughout this masterpiece.
