Era of cool teenagers...pony tails, bobby socks, and saddle shoes at sock hops...pink and black craze...even furniture...but, girls had to buy Levis at a men's store...take them home to try them on, deal with too big in the waist...too long, but roll them up. Sandra Dee, Connie Stevens & Annette Funicello, to name a few... teen idols all wore felt poodle skirts, with lots of crinolines, no teenage girl without... lots of colors swirling... Old 45 records of rock n roll...jukebox selection, three songs for a quarter, local hangout..steady date a jock, become a popular cheerleader... Vintage Pink Lady, cat eye glasses, letterman jackets, souped up hot rods, 1957 Chevy... American Bandstand...Relived. (c)copyright10November2010vivianldawson

As soon as I saw that skirt I thought of Marionette, my girlfriend/wife/ex . . . Met her on a pair of skates in a little country town in Arkansas. Took my heart. I ran her boyfriend off and took her home, the long way.
