Poem Artwork

Giving and receiving of one's heart so
special indeed, setting the stage with
heavenly bliss becoming the soul reason
in our living decor gently swaying back
and fro...music of a divine virtuoso
with the rhythm in control devouring all
our senses amid a floor of shifting sand
but of a sea's evolving depth

You and me, oblivious to the clouds
overhead, so richly dressed for our opera
to take place, but absorbed so in each
other's radiant glow an audience matters
not for a bow or bouquet

Waltzing through life to be our center focus,
staging this scene over and over again until
we grow old and gray within our sea of love,
complacent with a lifetime ever following each
other's step with our orchestrated dance of love

Capture the essence for oneself, dancing
in the rain for the rainbow surely follows
overhead arched in visual perfection, you
to complete circle filled with all the diversity
of the color spectrum bedazzling swirls from
your love filled palette's array, worthy of an

elegant Viennese Waltz taking you there

two lovers so intune with each other growing old together; dancing throughout their lives ..to their own rythmn. loved it.

This is quite insightful, there could not be a better metaphor for life with the perfect partner. That word play on "soul reason" is pretty neat too. If music be the food of love, play on.

Waltzing through life until one grows old, what a beautiful way to look at the upcoming golden years... in the arms of ones beloved. Forgetting the clouds or the rain, this couple dances for the sheer pleasure of the moment. What a lovely read, Vivian.

You took off on this one, Vivian.

"Waltzing through life to be our center focus,
staging this scene over and over again until
we grow old and gray within our sea of love,"

That's the deal, isn't it? Yep. this was a very good poem about life and love forever.
