Echoing teachings of a long
ago era entering a crossing
Stop, Look and Listen

Equally, for love's applications,
will You?

Stop...questioning consciousness
Love me Today

Look...into my wanton eyes
Think of me Tomorrow

Listen...to pulsating heart strings
Remember me Forever

Renown such Earthly Wisdom
for to be the wiser for Love
eyes wide open, mask removed

Stop, Look and Listen
before crossing
never jaywalking love's avenues

"Never jaywalking loves avenue" I love the connection between the warnings of old and the urgency of ignoring those very words and loving you today! A brilliant poem rich with images. WELL DONE!!

I like the imperative voice in this poem. We would all do well to remember that elementary school advice before making life changing decisions. Stylistically a little gem.

You tuned your heartstrings to a loving pitch and strummed the chords of everlasting love with beautiful, true, and mesmerizing words you sang so eloquently. After you finished your piece, you stood, the grand ballroom clapped, whistled, and stomped their feet in praise as you took your bow.
