Poem Artwork

Time being of essence with
every inch of your hair's growth,
I betroth you to let it down

My love overflows from this warp
in time when you will be mine
as a baby grows to cherish and
love forever with the faith of every
strand of your glowing golden hair

Let it down from your imprisoned
tower, for your braids I will climb
no longer to blindly wander a
never land in this spelled state

Fairy tale foretold, your tears will
clear my eyes for our promised
hereafter by the length of your hair
being no more...forever to be free
from this monolith of confinement

Fantasy for Naught,
or can You relate?

Great write! Turned the old story upside down and then shoved it sideways a little. Gotta love it.

This is a deft, grown up interpretation of the well loved fairy tale. Some clever phrasing and the story told from the Prince's viewpoint. The Brothers would approve.

This seems to speak in a truly wonderful methaphorical way of love and life and what a wonderful way you express both.

Brings a new meaning to the phrase "Let Your Hair down"...Nicely done, personally I love to have my hair flowing and free...

Much peace, love and light,
Amber

Certainly an original here, Vivian,
a particular sustained image that
for a moment brings Samson and Delilah to mind
and has a haunting sensuality.
