This is dedicated to my sister, Joyce, who lost her beloved Michael
in 1983 at her young age of 39...but
to have someday a reuniting of Their Only true loves...she waits.
Forces the past wants to be relived
awakened from depths of slumber
suddenly as if a spiritual fog has come
feeling your comfort beside my bed
Stolen from the twilight of our years
moments our youth was harvested
by Autumn's mist upon our lips and
sunlight dim between our hips
love taken away way too soon
Weeping no more, joining spirits
gaining everlasting love promised
so long ago when death no longer
parts our souls by earthly demise
A day of apparitions, heaven bound
ascending hearts to be dust no more

It's a melancholy piece but there are some great, truly poetic, lines here. I think this one of your best works.

what a wonderful poem of love that has to bide its time, and will come again.
Yes, that day will come...life on earth is a breath and some shorter than that..ty for this poem that gives comfort (I lost a brother in 1975 at just age 21)
One weeps at first, then shouts for joy at the thought of being reunited again in eternity where they will forever be together in paradise. A lovely, wistful poem with a positive ending. Wonderful picture to illustrate your thoughts.

This is sad, but with the spirit of a better time, a better place. Good work . . .
