Poem Artwork

Door is open, welcome to come on in
leave worries outside...warmth of fireplace
from nose to toes, mittens and stockings hung
securely for Santa to overflow with happiness

Tree of my meadows, scents of peace to seek all
senses...such lovely decorations fitting...gifts of
joy tempting under the tree, but no shaking allowed

Rover, Rover roll over...scratch your tummy
ignoring deer lingering not far from the window
no harm to come beckoning Eastern Star twinkles

Feed the fire of faith with strokes of hope
over stuffed sofa...get comfy, bring on
the hot chocolate...shortbread cookies, old
fashioned family recipe to melt in your mouth
while marshmallows fluff mustaches of white

Midnight ending befitting Christmas Eve
never to forget Jesus the real reason
to keep the birth of CHRIST in mas
a time of beginning meant just for Us

Sounds Lovely, Indeed. I love being in a cabin in the woods in any season - and on a snowy Christmas night, it's marvelous.

this is so much more than nostalgia, so much more substance, so much more sizzle, so much more than a glance at holiday spirit, so much more than window dressing, so much more, so much more... that's what you consistently give us, dear Vivian... so much more! Merry Christmas from our house to yours.

This has achieved the cosy Christmas feel you undoubtedly were trying to evoke. We all, (except the bahhumbug folks) enjoy Christmas and this gets us off to a good start.

A cozy setting, a warm fireplace, a loyal dog and cookies with hot choclate! Who wouldn't want to visit? I'll be there in my thoughts, enjoying the Christ in Christmas right along with you. Lovingly portayed by one of my favorite poets. A gem of a poem!
