Poem Artwork

No watery grave for melodic
instruments rising in resistence
full moon's ebb in tides flowimg
their own rhythm in influence of
being a genesis of compositions

Never underestimate the power
of music as sounds can change
depression into passion of lost,
lonely days into revered moments
of rhythmic reverbated sounds
into healing a wounded heart

Connect to understand a story
in stanzas written for every soul
as music speaks for eyes opened
wide flaming ambitious desires to
dance in one's head when our
mere words fail us

Humanity be not blind nor deaf
to ever let the music die before
refrains in crescendos of refractions satisfy your evolution of night into
day by staffs of revolutions

We talk about the soundtrack of our lives and this apt little poem captures the subliminal aspect of this aspect of music as well as the positive effect it can have on us.
I am quite taken by the "Excalibur" picture with the Stratocaster replacing the sword.

so much has been written on music over the years, and this tribute should rank among the best that has been said... may the songs your muse sings be a river of sound reverie always lulling and refreshing your soul... you are so prolific, Vivian... so richly prolific...

Ah, music. I wonder which one was the first to beat out a drum solo on an old half-rotten log after they were thrown out of Eden, in order to give vent to their despair and sorrow.

Nice work. Got me to thinking.
