Poem Artwork

Cavern reigning darkness which way
to turn wet and murky dulls my senses
finding myself lost in the mire to ever
conduce my sixth sense

Just when I thought no one could find
me you made a blue night swirl of
bravery when you said follow me, and
we will adventure a lifetime together
wrapped so calla lily tight to pursue
streaming overhead through opening
redolent gardens stemmed for
happiness growth

Hearts of sharing took us beyond a
material life to where souls thrive
ethereally with love meaning no
matter how irregular the rhythm
never skipping a beat

Now in our twilight we reminisce our
togetherness with each twinkle of light

reflecting the gray hairs on our heads
earning golden circles from blue
beginnings so long ago as one lost..
finding two..replete from the ascent

I do like a happy ending. That last verse paints a really realistic word picture of two people in their latter years, content and happy with their memories.

A truly wonderful success story of unbounded love and mutual admiration. From the "blue night swirl of bravery" you set out on an adventure that not many can claim to have had. Great poetry!
