It was just a foolish argument as
I sit here and contemplate while
my rose of surrender fades and
wilts not to compliment a landscape
glowing with the radiance of you
My body aches to embrace our
differences with understanding
addressing the wind to whisper
I Love You with a scattering of
undue clouds in sorrow not to
rain on our bench made for two
Vigilance in my pursuit but I must
not let the sun go down without
amends since our silly argument
matters not for truth in happiness

Yes we should make up before bedtime, just like Momma told us. It leaves tomorrow free for another of those trivial spats. I've found that it is hard to sit on one of those Jack and Jill benches and keep a good argument going. This is a pretty little poem about a serious matter.
