No matter how much work
you have to do today, make
time to luxuriate from elegant
richness of yesterdays arched
portals imploring lessons learned
for today's mental playground
Feel inspired to accomplish
great things vacillating between alternative options shooting arrows
into the sky much like Sagittarius
the Archer even if you don't yet
know ascending target as portals
unfold in the wonderment of your heavenly discovery for desires

Yes, to take time to smell the roses, have deep thoughts, engage in fun activities, etc. Wonderful words Vivian to describe the need to take time in a busy, goal oriented world. Who knows where your next "gateway to desires" will take you? Slow down and find out!

BEAUTIFUL POEM, BEAUTIFULLY DONE, IT,S A SHAME ALL OUR DESIRES CANNOT BE MADE KNOWN TO EVERYONE----------------LOL------HG
Not only does this poem offer inspiration, permission, encouragement and enticement, it conjures up loftiness of 'being,' which brings me to the two lines in the second stanza extending outward in form, in keeping with their language of "shooting arrows" and "heavenly discovery," trajectories of bliss. That term "lessons learned" has taken on a much more positive meaning than the usual industrial interpretation. Note to self: shoot more optimistic arrows in future.
We the poets, writers, artists and those with an imaginative flair are truly blessed for we can often cross that portal at will simply by closing our eyes and opening our minds...nicely done

I love the direction this poem points us toward "lessons learned," Vivian. Of late I have noticed you have migrated to a loftier plane than I was used to seeing in your writing, and that loftier plane works for me. You summed it all up in the last line of the poem. Brava! Stand. Clap.Clap.
