Riding away for better or worse
secure your handlebar grip from
many thousands of winds behind
your back begin cycling to make it
Where a bag brown bag lunch
satisfies the physical whole of
being nature's voices along the
way are singing it's spiritual
messages acapella by whispering
breezes through the countless
trees moving aimlessly in search
of application to oneself in the
midst of becoming the wheels

Oh do I like the sailing freedom of this poem. It is super that you have no punctuation, because it makes the reading a windful experience -- those "...thousands of winds/behind your back..." the wording of that is marvelous. And those last three lines.....absolutely wonderful!!! Platinum piece of writing, Vivian. ~~ Diana
I brown bag my lunch at work every day, broccoli, celery, carrots, cherry tomatoes, radishes, baby bell peppers, and thin sliced chicken. Then I take a stroll around the block and wait by the railroad for the 12:41 freight train to rumble by. It's not exactly nature's voices, but it is acapella and I am definitely in the midst of wheels. OK I'm weird. Patrick
Nothing more lovely than to cycle
and let the winds blow through you
and past you :) I am a cycler, however
my tire is now flat! Did it in lol

One thing we all have in common is biking, Vivian.

We "serious" cyclists don't get much poetry written about our obsession so this ode to the pleasures of two wheeled transport is a pleasant surprise. Now I've stopped racing, nature's voices have become more apparent. If only the whispering breezes were always at our backs.
I really do miss cycling––even more than Lance Armstrong! ;-) But I gave it up to drive at seventeen and even sold my bicycle. Took it up again later in college where I rode around campus on my sister's old bike that I could put in the trunk of my DeSoto and take wherever I wanted to go cycling. That old bike stayed around my parents' cottage for many many more years.

The free spirit of acapella whispering breezes. Rolling on those wheels in nature's voice.
Love this inspiration in your write.
