Some people come into our lives
and take center stage acting out
an epic love affair completing each
performance as perceived perfection
until the last curtain call commences
applauding but then the roses fall
exiting out of view
A broken leg can mend as surely as
life must go on continually for life's
theatre playing out in the round

"Performance"? Well that's one way of putting it. Glad the star of the show achieved perfection and that the plaudits and roses were deserved. Who said "All the world's a stage and all the men and women merely players"?
I believe that to be true since I've been on the "stage of life" for quite some time now, in full view of all, and apparently, making a fool of myself because of love once again. Thank you, Vivian. Love and best wishes,
The broken leg threw me for a bit, but I think my muddled mind "got" it. The roses falling out of view could be a sign that what was just concluded was an anti-climax.
