I know that is from a song in the movie White Christmas but I am not sure who wrote it. You remind me it is so very important to count, and remember our blessings. Thank you. Lovely write. We hear so much about counting our blessing, but it is true! Our health, what is in our hearts and using whatever means to get through

I do like that pen of consciousness running dry line. Quite an original expression of the theme. The piece has an appropriately thoughtful feel to it as well.

An old adage used to be "out of sight, out of mind"... but we would do well to hold our memories of precious times past, not to be repeated, as though they were yet with us in this present time, and if present laughter be hard to come by, present sorrows must yet yield to gladder times and happier tomorrows. Good write, and much more of a provocative blend of thought than we see at first sight! Once again, your imagery is as vivid as the content you provide, and we are content to have you provide, dear Vivian.

Your poem expresses that thought so well; most of us do not even realize our mainifold blessings and those that do are a blessing to others.
