I remember reading a rain poem by Longfellow in the distant past; such a miserable piece. This poem is a complete contrast and has such a serene atmosphere. Faith in rain poems restored.
I love the rain
ever since I woke up one day
at a hospital, glanced towards the window
it was drizzling the trees leaves
possessed droplets like dripping diamonds
it cleanses all
Body, soul and surroundings
Rejuvenating, joyous, spiritual Spring Rain,
that cleans the body, mind and spirit.

Rain rules. Without rain and teardrops and the sorrow they bring, our world would be just a hot, dry place without beautiful vegetation and water to wash our bodies and souls in.
