An interesting observation portrayed in a poem. While it does seem that nature knows and can respond to a storm, that is not always the case. I remember a reporter during one hurricane stating that where they were in the hotel, they found many dead blackbirds that were killed by the storm winds. These birds apparently did not know enough to get out of Dodge.
