...here is where I am when the silent scream fades to black like an old time movie, the one where the hero always sins...
"Discovery" pulls the reader into its imagery and leaves her with the impression that its persona will never leave, regardless of how horrid the situation may become. This poem is like a sailboat becalmed in a tempest. It speaks of an ardent stasis at the still point of the fury. We can all see the master's hand at work in this long sea voyage of a short poem, d.v.

alone is nice for a short period of time...i agree with john it impresses me as much as it depresses...me...at times.
