God didn't expect........
Us to make it all alone
Or he wouldn't have gave Adam, Eve
or a beautiful sun rise
with plenty of fresh air to breath
God didn't expect.......
Us to be alone
No place to call our home
No friends or family
just waiting there
to show how much they cared
God did expect........
That we would find a love so true
One that he had planned
for no one other than you
God didn't expect........
Me to live with out the life that grew
tucked safely under my heart
Our lives so intertwined
part of each other now for all time
God didn't expect..........
us not to share
The beauty he left everywhere
In the smiling faces of a friend
a sunrise
a sunset
a rainbow
a waterfall
a tear
a birth
and yes even a death
God did expect........
Us not to accept the son
that he loved so dear
He didn't expect
us not to share
all the promises he left
a little worn book
a reminder........
of all that it took
He did expect........
We would accept
the holy spirit that he left
to guide us and show us
all the love that he had
and that it didn't matter
that we'd been so very bad
Because he sent us his only son
He was willing and he gave
all that he had

In finding a love so true......It can be our work, our talents,etc maybe he planned you to be just where you are loving life the way your choose to live it! But I think he did want us to find contentment in what ever our love is. The rest of the poem, goes with out saying! i like it a lot,at the same time i feel a sense of suffocation.iw ant to be alone,,i love being alone..i have friends yes,,but i cant think about God wanting me to have a partner when i really dont want one. i feel i do a lot for a group of people, charity,,this time i could not spend if i had a partner.The tiome and love would go to "one"instead of a whole group. Some people might manage BOTH,but I cant manage that I am afraid.
the flow of the poem is great.
i love the flow.
i felt comfortable with some of it....and you are very artistic Tina.
But yes,some of it made me feel suffocated.the actual etxt. which is NOT the poems fault!!!
maybe I just cant manage demands.What God wants I feel is us to be happy,indifferent to whether we have a partner of the opposite sex,the same sex or just alone!
