"the Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want..."
But,
We all "want"
Do we not?
We all want
What others have.
The biggest (better) things in life.
We strive to get,
To conqure,
To attain,
The unattainable.
Are we striving,
To better ourselves
Like we make others believe?
Or,
Are we being selfish
By wanting what others have?
Each of us
Has to answer this question
For ourselves..
Your pen inspires one to think. I never could understand the second line "I shall not want". Now if it said "Because of him I shall not want" then I could better understand it. There's a fine line between desire and want and they both often cloud us to what true posessions we actually have. I consider each new day as a gift, so anything else is just icing on the cake.
