Why does a man hide his love from the woman he proclaims to love?

Man Stop Hiding Your Love
From Your Woman
By Handsum-Hart

Man, why do you hide your love
from your woman,
knowing it paints her door
with the hideous color
of loneliness.

She cries,
yet no tears are seen.
It is her heart that cries.

She bleeds,
yet no blood is found.
It is her soul that bleeds.

She grieves,
yet no mourning is heard.
It is her dreams that grieve.

She falls,
yet no bruises are discovered.
It is her belief in you that fell.

Beyond tragic description it is,
when a man hides his love
from his woman
amongst the weeds
of this world.
Like it is a fancy flower
wanting not to be seen,
smelled, picked or admired.

Because his love
is hidden from her all
he receives
No secrets for his bosom
to safe keep.
No souvenirs of time
to remember.
No holding of his heart
by caring hands.
No sounding of his name
because he is needed.
No sprinkles of affection
to sweeten his day.
No happy hour
to drink tearful joy.
No warm kisses on his cheek
with the falling of temperature
on a frigid winter night.
No playful pinching
of his tush, felt by his soul.

Hence, like a flower
receiving no care;
his hidden love
quickly ages, withers and dies
without any mourners.
Even the weeds look on
with dry eyes
and feel no need
to give a tear.
And insist his dead love
be buried not amongst them.

Sadly in dream, heard I
the creator of love
say in anguished voice.
"If man seeded
the love gifted to him
in his woman's heart
and gardened it
with his green thumb
and natural kindness,
fiercely strong
his love would grow
and its beauty
he could enjoy
all of his breathing days
breath by breath."

Man stop hiding your love
from your woman,
it is meant
to be shared with her!

You are right Ron, why should any man hide his love from the women who has his love and devotion, unless he has something to hide. I surely believe in showing my love to my Lady. I let her know every moment how precious she is to me and what she means to me. When you really love someone, it is impossible not to let the other know how you feel. So opening up is the only route once she occupies your heart. Bill Murray

I am most impressed! You not only understand a woman's heart but have expressed it exceedingly well. Wish more men had such sensitivity and caring. Your lady is indeed a lucky woman.
