I became insomnic during high school.

Poem Artwork

Insomnia my friend
Stay with me to the end
You are and I must say
The friend who never goes away

Insomnia you fool
I have become your tool
You've used me since I've known
I knew sleep once before I'd grown

Insomnia let's write
Let's write into the night
Let's make some lemonade
Someday we'll have life in the shade

And count the money that we made!

I hate the inability to fall asleep. I can relate because I have been there. Sending you best wishes of love, peace, and a visit from the sandman,

Yes. Lemonade. Money. Uh, but first we have to do something about those darn sleepless nights.

Insomnia can be caused by stress or
it has become a programmed habit...
Over-active mind you have trained to
become that way... take your pick here...
Regardless it's annoying... and can affect
your health...

You have to retrain yourself if it is not stress
caused... Taking yourself away from the computer
2 hours before bed, no Telly or radio that would
spark your mind in that manner etc... just laying
to peaceful music... although you may have tried
all of these the key is to quiet the mind...

Insomnia, what looks initially as a friend can become your assassin in the end.
I like the way you write how insomnia has become a part of your life.
