These last four days have been tryng for "my Lady", Kaarina (Kaa'reena). She has so many maladies and while I was with her, had a heart attack so I called 911. She is 86 years old, from Finland.
She came and brought sunshine
From far far away
On luxury liner
Blue eyes sailed away
He sent her two ticket
They met letters wrote
She had free will to stay or
To leave may I note
She stayed bore him children
Two sons tall and proud
The father went up to
Some magical cloud
Years passed she grew weary
But still she kept on
Keeping her small cottage
Fair to look upon
Her health started failing
She had a good friend
Who'll stand there beside her
Right up 'til the end

Her story is the story of so many who have immigrated to the United States for love.
I'm so happy that she has someone who can help her in her home who understands the culture of her childhood and knows how to treat her with compassion in her final time.
I wish that my 92-year-old mother could still be in her home with assistance rather than in the place, and assisted living center, that she is. It's so easy for the elderly to be mistreated by some uncaring, so-called, caregiver.
Thanks for being there for her. You are a sweetheart.
