Early Autumn Evening

Poem Artwork

Hear the tires on wet pavement
Moon reflecting off wires
Wet grass jeans wet on bottoms
Got dry wood start a fire

Neighbors coming to join us
Bringing beer and S'mores
Children dance round the fire pit
Tell them tales of far shores

Kids look sleepy we're tired
Time to call it a day
Sure the fire has gone out then
Say goodnight hit the hay

A moment captured in time, ah, there is something about a fire and the family all around it. Magical, until everyone "hits the hay". Love that expression. Magical.
