Great images BUT as you point out , our earth is dieing a slow inevitable death. Sadly mankind is killing it and we will parish also I fear, The polar caps are melting and they are what keeps our planet upright!

Your ending took me by surprise. It was complete u-turn from the delightful first two stanzas. It was like a kick in the head, but definitely well said. It seems for every step we made in progress, is being wiped out by today's leaders in Washington. And it starts at the top.
